Here is a dream position for a person who has proven success at the executive level in marketing and product management, and wants a big responsibility with a solid international medical/pharmaceutical publisher. Therapeutic Research Center/Therapeutic Research Faculty is a very stable company with a 25-year track record of success and growth. The staff produces exceptionally high-quality products that are in high demand by physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, medical schools, pharmacies and consumers. The Center is fully accredited by the American Council on Continuing Medical Education, American College of Emergency Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education and others to provide continuing medical education credits. Therapeutic Research is located in the upscale Brookside Business Park in Stockton CA, one half hour South of Sacramento.
Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database and its 16 related publications and services are part of Therapeutic Research Center/Therapeutic Research Facultys family of publications and services. The publication and related services are used by physicians, pharmacists, dietitians, medical schools, pharmacies, medical websites, and consumers throughout the United States and the world. None of our publications accept any advertising or sponsorship.
Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database has grown to be recognized as the scientific gold standard for evidence-based information related to natural medicines (dietary supplements, herbal products, vitamins, and minerals). Leaders in conventional medicine as well as complementary, alternative, and integrative medicine recognize the Database as the go-to resource for the most comprehensive and practical information. The business is very solid and has enjoyed years of uninterrupted growth. There is both a professional side and a consumer side to the business.
The new Director will work full-time in our Stockton, CA office (were not looking for telecommuters right now). The culture is very comfortable, yet professional with a strong emphasis on results. The Director must be an outstanding marketer with a successful track record in marketing and product management. The Director must have the expertise and passion to manage and grow the brand. This includes strategic planning, business development, marketing, and tactical execution of marketing initiatives to build upon our decade of significant growth. This person will communicate well with colleagues, think clearly and creatively, and aggressively meet goals in a very fast moving environment.
Experience in online publishing for a subscription-based publication is preferred. Experience in health care, pharmaceuticals, biotech, publishing (particularly internet publishing) is highly desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible and accountable to develop and execute on all marketing programs for Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database as well as 16 related publications and services.
- Work collaboratively with the executive team on product development, strategic marketing and brand awareness.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree required; Doctorate in a health related discipline is an added plus.
- Minimum of five years marketing management experience.
- Proven success in building brand value, increasing market share, and driving sales with measurable results.
- Excellent project planning and management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent analytical and strategic skills; able to plan, organize, execute and report ideas and results.
- Outstanding team player with the ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional disciplines.
- Willingness and ability to roll up sleeves and be hands on with entire marketing effort.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
